Hello ruedi,

Thanks for your reply & the link to @GADs amazing article on the Nightbirds that were made over the years. I didn't realise there so many different variants - I wonder how many of them were imported into the UK since I've only seen my black one & one recently on Ebay (a red one) that was supposedly made for Arlen Roth? But well out of my price affordability.

My one had the split diamond inlays, ebony board & the Guild "G-shield" style logo - unfortunately I didn't have it long enough to enjoy playing it since the previous owner contacted me within the first year of purchase asking to buy it back from me again! Oh well.....

I think that'd be both of 'em, then.

Thanks for your reply adorshki - I reckon that a whole bunch of them might turn up now? A bit like waiting for a bus - they all come along together after you've been waiting for hours

Like you said there have been a few times where a member's been looking for a specific model for a long time and finally nails one that pops up only to see 2 or 3 more suddenly appear over the next couple of weeks...your patience will eventually be rewarded, but ya gotta keep watching the listings.

Thanks for posting. Listening to that D4 reminds me of how well they record. I sold mine some years back to finance a Martin, subsequently sold.... Wish I still had it. I have an arch back D25, but they do sound different.

Hi Michael and welcome aboard. The sound you get on the D4 is beautiful, full and warm. I have a '96 D4 myself and it sounds the same and is a breeze to play. It amazes me that the lowly D4 sounds much better than guitars that are 5X the cost! The other guitars in your vid are beauties too! Take care....
