At Mandolin Brothers today, I played a stunning new D-55 from the Connecticut plant. Boy, that instrument was just first-rate, with that gorgeous Guild sound - beautiful treble end balanced by a resonating low-end. The workmanship looked fine, although I *thought* I noticed a tiny tiny bit of slop around some of the fretboard binding up by the headstock, but nothing very major. I was really pleased with the entire guitar and thought it boded well for the new plant.
