I recently purchased a 57 aristocrat. The pickguard was included but not attached to the guitar. Apparently, it hasn't been attached for a very long time, because the guard was warping (curling) to the point that it will no longer line up with the mounting holes. Is there an aftermarket fix for this issue or some type of fix? I would love to get a pickguard back onto it. Thanks!!

I've used pickguardian.com in the past. He prefers to use the original pickguard as a template, but he will work from a tracing.

I had it hooked into a press, still couldn't get it right.
I had my one between two wooden boards for about one year and afterwards it was pretty flat. It needs a lot of time to get back in shape.

I think it depends on the condition. If something shrunk already a lot it will be impossible. But if it is just bended or so, that might work. I have a '80s multilayer TRC which was fixed too hard with the top screw and was bended on both sides, I had it between 2 wooden boards and screw clamps also for about one year without any success...And using heat on vintage parts is dangerous as this will only increase the shrinkage of the celluloid.
