So does anybody else hate the new Photobucket up-date?

Now on vertical, (portrait) photos, they only show you the top half of the photo. Do you know how hard it is to tell a guitar from just the headstock?

Grrrrr!!!!

I totally agree that Photobucket's new format SUCKS!

First of all, it dumped all of my pics that were posted Pre-change in various online Forums. AND NOW it first links the picture I want. But go back a little later and you'll find it's opened up your entire collection of shots in Photobucket!

They are really screwed up BIG TIME now. And, they've protected themselves by making it impossible to talk to a real person about it.

Plus on my Mac/Firefox I can't drag an IMG link, or even figure out the code. All I can get is a manual link to the photo. Time to change, I think.

I just don't get it...they take a system that is simple and easy to use and turn it into something that isn't.

What's the purpose?

Another thing I notice is that there are more pop-up flash player ads, and they bog my older computer down something fierce

I have been using PBase as my photo host since 2003, with very few issues (none in the last 5 years). $23/year gives me 1 GB of storage space, with no ads or popups... not dealing with ads makes it worth it to me!

OK, so the question for those in the know, is how do you get your images off Photobucket and into your home computer, if you do not have a copy there?

In my case, its all the images from Texas last Fall...

Bill, you do it the same way you can download any photo from a web browser page. Open the photo to it's large/full size, "right click", select "Save Image As..." and stick it where ever you want it on your computer.

I have been a Photobucket user for years. I have not experienced any of this other than haveing to learn a few new ways to do the same old things. That said, I mainly use Photobucket for private storage and for posting a pic on here or where ever once in a while. Are you folks talking about "paid storrage" or the free accounts? or both?....guess I should take the time to look into my account. Thanks for the heads up.

I hate that they got rid of the pages of photors and went to a "stream" where you scroll down. Considering a couple of my albums have 300+ photos in them, it takes forever to get to the old photos.

I don't like the new format (same with facebook)
Why do people always have to "update" things that work fine just for the sake of change?
