That's a great link!

Frampton is a great guitarist, which is sometimes lost in his teeny-bopper image after the massive success of "Comes Alive". I'm currently reading Frampton's autobiography "Do You Feel Like I Do?", that came out a few months ago. Some great stories in there, too. He's another artist who got pretty screwed by a manager (who happened to be in debt to the Mafia!).

FYI, "Baby I Love your Way" is a great song to play on acoustic, requires some tricky (but fun!) muting of three strings while playing the verse chords.

I got to speak with him when we were working on the Ampeg book. It's funny because in the interview above he says that George Harrison called him and he couldn't believe it. I couldn't believe it when Peter called me! Anyway, he was very nice and a gearhead who knows his stuff and I think that comes across well in the video.

Really enjoyed that - thanks for posting. I always love listening to Peter talk (about anything really, but especially guitars). He lived in Cincinnati for a few years in the recent past, just before he moved to Nashville. My luthier worked on a few of his guitars. Everyone around here who met him say that he is a very kind and generous person.

Here's Frampton playing "It Don't Come Easy" for Ringo's 80th birthday show this past summer. A great early '70's radio hit for Ringo - mostly written by George Harrison, who gave the writing credit solely to Ringo to help him financially. I always thought this song's guitar riff was oddly reminiscent of Harrison's riff in Cream's "Badge".
