I make it in a black iron wok, not the one pictured, that's just a serving bowl.

Not one blackened kernel, nor an unpopped kernel.

Dressed for lunch, picking wife in an hour, I might even some to bring for a carsnack, not sure I can eat this much popcorn anyway.

Not leaving kernals and not burning popcorn is just a matter of paying attention while it's cooking.

Coconut oil on the bottom of the pan, add some salt if you'd like, wait until two starter kernals pop, cover the bottom with one layer of kernels, cover the pot, wait until the noise slows down to a kernal per second or so. Perfect every time.

Same with a grilled cheese - pay attention while it's cooking and it will always be perfect.

She Who Must Be Obeyed and I enjoy a nice bowl of popcorn on Saturday night Movie Nights at our house. It is either air-popped (butter, salt, grated Parmigiano-Reggiano on mine, please), or made with one of these by Dominion:

She's an unreformed yard sale addict, and found that for 5 bucks last winter. Makes great popcorn.

My thoughts exactly but something's missing. Ah! Needs some of shiny "wet look" stuff. This oughta do the trick:

But for a real photo shoto the pros just spritz it with glycerin.
Go ahead now and set up your appointment at the Cath lab at your local cardiology diagnostic center. If you're lucky, you'll only need a few stents.

Wow, my grandmother had one of these -- worked pretty well.

White kernels for me. Put them in some oil in low heat until the kernels get a nice toasty brown, then high heat until done like GAD said. Salt to taste. The texture of the popcorn is better imho.
