Penny Lang has passed on

Penny Lang from Montreal QC Canada has sadly passed on.

Had the pleasure of meeting her...and playing socially...a number of times...she did sometimes play a Guild.

Her son Jason is still performing...his dad was Dave Van Ronk.

Checked it out, never heard of her. Not all things Canadian trickle down hear (pun), love the pic with the Guild. Cool story, cool history, another "war baby" gone... Someone should write a song, "Penny Lang", I think someone may have already worked out the melody for us... all you need is the words.

Penny Lan∑ is one of those lovely melodies that's hard to get rid of once it's in your head...

She trickled down to upstate N.Y. when I lived there. She was definitely cool!!!
