Sidetrack, but I'd like to rant a minute... What annoys me about the Guild store is the limited selection of parts. You should be able to buy a B-7 brand new from Guild, since it's a regular production part on their NS SF-Vs and VIs (in nickel and gold, respectively), yet their online store only has harps for sale. Why some, but not all the parts? Why can't you buy the knobs they're reproducing now? Pickup rings would be nice to be made available... The little floating feet for M-75 bridges could be a handy part. They've done a nice job of faithfully reproducing components of their '50s-'60s electrics and being able to buy affordable reproductions of these hard-to-find vintage parts would be great!

I moved this from here, where it was a veer, because it is worthy rant. Perhaps Cordoba will read and make some changes or someone will share experience with getting parts through some other channel than the website or???

FWIW I am not totally certain all Newark Street parts are interchangeable with vintage parts....

+1 on this, especially when it comes to the metal floating bridge feet and vol/tone knobs.

The availability of the B2/B7/B70 and B6/B60 Guildsbies would be great. Then those that want a guildsbyfied X-175 would have a easily available source. Walter Broes had the right idea!

I've gotta chime in on this too, and I totally agree. I wish I could get a Guild-branded B7, knobs, TRCs, etc. Wish -- wish --wish! :dejection: It might even incite me to buy more Guilds if I could outfit vintage models with OEM parts.

I agree - to the extent that I'd be more tempted to get a Newark Street M-75 if I could buy a Guild B7 Bigsby to go with it.

Then again, I really wish you could USA made Guild bigsbies (the one above on that guitar pic of the sunburst 175 I no longer have is US made) new, and knobs that fit USA pots, etc......

But generally yes, I agree. If they make the stuff anyway, why not sell it?
