Good grief, ozone is just O3, which is unstable and decays into good old O2 + 0 before long, which very quickly becomes just a bunch of O2. Point being, it's a ready (but temporary) source of O (which might be called O1, but it's not.) Which simply means it's a good oxidizer. Don't be afraid of it unless you want me tell you that our atmosphere is already 80% nitrogen. OMG! We're all gonna die!!

Are you disputing the harm that O3 can cause people pets and plants in an enclosed space?

I suppose it depends on the concentration. It's one of the millions of things that is naturally occurring, many of which can be harmful in high concentrations.

I have a case that developed a musty smell from the time I wasn't able to keep my basement practice area climate safe due to illness. The guitar (an old Sovereign) was easy to take care of, there was a little mildew, but a couple swipes with vinegar took care of it. I put baking soda in the case, it helped a little. Left it in the sun, now for the third day, plus replaced the soda with activated charcoal sachets. After today, it is almost back to normal, I figure one more day of sun should do it. If not, I do have a small ozone generator, I'd just have to find a place the right size to fit both case and generator.
