When did Guild put split parallelogram fingerboard inlays on this model? Too Gibsonian for my taste.

Probably stick on aftermarket additions. It would be hard to imagine paying for that kind of inlay work with a guitar of this price point. I really like mine, and that's a first for an Asian made Guild acoustic guitar. Remarkably good guitars for the money, and I think the rest of the 2xxx guitars should be similar.

I saw this one too…just seems odd for a higher end fingerboard inlay for the base model OM….

Definitely odd, and frankly I’m glad I got mine with the plain dot inlays.

my DV52 has aftermarket abalone fingerboard inlays. I like.

Taylor does it all the time on the "fancy" versions of their lower end guitars, and yeah, I don't like them either. simple dots are just fine with me.
