Probably people buying them to re-list them at $300 each for years on end.

I purchased a set with the rings for $359 plus shipping on Feb 27 off of Ebay. Upon arrival one of the pickups had severe Oxidation that had green build up on it. The kind of oxidation that pits and stains when you try to remove it. I contacted the seller and he accepted a return on them. He re listed them yesterday or the day before for the same price and they sold immediately. That's the first set I have bought in 2 years.:tongue-new:

I grabbed them for $300 - hopefully Brasso removes the rust.

He said said he took a razor blade and some naptha to them when he got them back from me and it did leave some pitting and staining upon removal. I wanted a set in case I ever decided to do a restoration on something and wasn't going to settle for a pitted or stained cover. If I remember they also had some weird resistance readings, Think the Neck was 7.8K and the bridge was 6.9K. The fact that they really weren't a matched set and the cover pitting on top, I just sent them back. Good Luck with them.

Yep, those are the good ones. You will have to run another wire lead from the bridge PU to use a phase switch but, that seems like a nice set.
