I think it is a decent idea. Of course some folks (especially those new to LTG) will likely still post about strings in the corresponding guitar section (acoustic, archtop, solid-body).

We'd like to get these folks over from Scotland, but there seem to be some difficulties with visas.
Homeland Security of course claims complete ignorance of any issues, which seems credible enough.
Besides which, we'd then have to hire a cat herder to make sure folks post in the proper forum, let alone stay on topic.
Several of us will resist that effort to the bloody end.
