I have a 2000 Bluesbird, it's a great guitar. One issue that bugs me however is that the G string always sounds harsher and brighter than the rest of the strings, especially on open string chords. Joe Bonamassa mentions using nylon saddles on his 3 unwound stings. anyone tried this on a Bluesbird?

If it is especially on open string - then nut would be second thing to look. First thing would be different G-string - heavier - lighter - plain wound - just different .

Maybe - don't know the answer to this particular problem.

I would first adjust all the pickup pole pieces and maybe lower the one for the G string.
