Yes I got my New, Replacement Guitar yesterday.
Let it sit in the box for the required time and opened it up today.
It's my replacement Guild 8 String Baritone.
Not a lot to report other than it looks like everything is where it should be and no apparent problems with the Bridge, so far!
This baritone seems to have a richer and cleaner sound than the one that went back with the cracked bridge.
I have to wonder if the bridge was holding some tone back even before the crack showed up.
The intonation on this one is spot on where the old one required me to have my Tech do a lot of work on it
to try to get the intonation better.
Again, perhaps that bridge was always the problem.
I love the look and the tone of the Guild Baritone and I'm so happy to have one in my hands again.
These guitars are so much easier to fret than you would ever think that they would be.
I also have an Alvarez 8 string standard tuned guitar and the Guild Baritone is easier to fret and get all 8 strings ringing,
when playing chords where the octave strings are fretted.
Sometimes the octave strings get muted on certain chords with the Alvarez.
I will have my Tech look at it to see if there is a fret issue with it.
For now, I will keep the guitar in standard B to B tuning.
It doesn't have the muddy sound that the other one had in B to B tuning.
Not sure why though.
