They legalized it in my country. There are tons of pot shops and services that will deliver it to your door like you ordered a pizza. Like many, I puffed a little of the devil's dandelion in my day. I may or may not have inhaled some at the Pink Floyd Division Bell tour in 1994 but I can not recall, I would need to see black box footage. What I mainly see in my area is irresponsible use, public spaces, parking lots, parks being used by kids and stoned driving. I don't think it is working out as planned. I think a good portion of the younger generation are going to waste the next 10yrs on everyday excessive use. It is a unique substance and one that any human who chooses to should be able to experience, but soft drug or not it can cause a lot of problems. I have no issue if someone wants to enjoy it in the right way, I'm just not interested in messing with it. ✌

Thanks. I find a lot of evidence that cannabis makes people stupid though.

That's what we called in college: "Hey, anybody wanna get stupid?"

My last encounter with it was 35+ years ago - I stopped when I realized my vocabulary was steadily shrinking.

I foresaw an endpoint where my entire vocabulary consisted of "whoa", "dude", "Doritos", and "crank it up".

No objections to legalization, decriminalization, etc. It's just not for me.

i smoked way too much of that stuff.
i stopped eventually due to the paranoia.
i loved the smell and the sensation a lot.
i still have left-over "dead-headness" from it...

of course, that could be all the beer in aluminum cans. :)

Let's just say the legalization hasn't helped in my college classes. "Stupid" isn't really a good resume builder.

Quick story. Years ago. I'm teaching an 8:00 am class on the "History of Rock and Roll". Student presenting about The Beatles' "Sgt. Pepper" album's impact, etc. Stoned out of his mind. An 8:00 am class!

One of the worst presentations ever. I thought to myself, "but maybe he should get credit for being stoned since he was discussing "Sgt. Pepper"? :p

Weed was made legal here in NJ on election day. My daughter walked into a store and bought some last week. I didn't think they had the system to sell legally set up yet, but obviously, they do. I quit over 20 years ago and am torn about having a little taste now and then. I certainly never thought I could walk in and buy it legally in my lifetime. What a concept.

A former heavy drinker and ganja partaker - the key is like anything else - moderation. That is a difficult task for many of us. Overuse creeps up on you. Criminalization of pot is a waste of tax payer resources and has unnecessarily hurt so many folks with regards to jobs, social stigma etc. But hey small amounts do help with sleep. Not sure about hernias however.
