So, I'm a believer in the Oxnard Guilds. They're doing some good things there. I have a D 20, D 40T Deluxe, F 40E and F 55E GSR, all superb guitars. I know some of you are still on the fence. I am not.

However, I've not been a fan of the current made in China Guild acoustic lineup. Granted, I've only tried 3 of them I think but none of them did much for me.

But the GAD lineup from back in the day I've had great luck with. This one is the GAD 50 and I'll tell you it sounds terrific, it really does. I've forgotten the specs but I think it's an all solid wood guitar. This one is minty and at just under $500 I think a steal.

I'd sold off a lot of my lower priced guitars and needed one plus I have a wall hanger sitting empty and I don't like that so I picked this up. Here's a couple pics:

An endorsement from you puts positive thoughts in my mind. Enjoy your beautiful guitar in good health, Richard.

Ah, hadn't heard that one before. Have to remember that for after I get married.

My GAD 50 sounded good when I took it to compare it to a D-55. But the D-55 didn't sound quite $2000 better. GADs are going higher now. Other local shop had a MIRC GAD 50 for $500. I think they are going for more now and harder to find.

The manufacturing date (YYMM) are the first four digits on the long number stamped inside on the neck heel.
