Ordered Feb 6 - picked up yesterday Oct 28th
2020 Gibson Custom Shop Historic Series 1957 SJ-200 Vintage Sunburst.

The depth of sound has taken me by surprise, it's huge!
I feel like I've been playing upright piano's all my life and now I'm sitting at a grand piano for the very first time ... with the lid open!

p.s. If it helps any ... a new F-55 Maple was my 2nd choice.

There's some nice subtle flamed maple visible on the sides too - a little on the upper bout (pictured) and some on the lower bout right near the bottom.

The period correct hard case is a nice touch in this new Historic series.
Came with a mounted Gibson Certificate of Authenticity, wipe down cloth, leather key fob, truss rod tool and a complete D'Addario 2-way humidification system.

I've thought about selling it Ralph, but it's my only maple, and my only cutaway with electronics, too. And it's so damn good, too.

Ah, so you have thought about it, so keep me in mind, maybe a trade, a trade with cash to you, a trade with cash to me, or cash to you, or... I see your heavy on the basses, I only have a USA Fender Bullet serial # E000222 (I liked the tele headstock), and a Gibson SG short scale. These don't seem to fit with the style of basses you have though now.

Factor in US dealers are prohibited from selling new guitars outside the USA so I had to pay the Australian price - and it was huge.

In 2018 I bought a great used Epiphone EJ-200 for $400 here, then I bought a beautiful used Huss & Dalton MJ Custom.

The H&D cost 10x more than the Epiphone.

My new Gibson cost 30x.
