I posted a thread a few days ago about a 70s T50 and yesterday I bought it, a 74' T50. It's a nice red one which I haven't seen much of in pictures, anyone know how common these red ones are?
The guitar has a little be more scuffs than the guy led on and i noticed the holes where a pickguard was previously but it's a very nice guitar. After playing it I was in love immediately. This is my first hollow body electric and i hadn't played a full hollow body electric before but I have always liked the tone I've head from old archtop acoustics. This one sounds very nice unplugged and plugged in, I found it hard to put down the tone and ease of playing was inspiring.
I can't tell exactly what strings are on there, they look like the could be monels of some sort, they seem to be 11s if I had a guess. I might try some DR blues but I'm hesitant on thicker strings because the action is already a tad high but we shall see.
