Well, the X-170 got here today, and it's drop dead gorgeous! Not a scratch, dent or mark on it, though the gold is a little tarnished. Looks like it's spent it's life in the case. The WCR humbuckers the previous owner installed (original Guilds came with the guitar, also) have a lot more depth and growl than the EMGs on my Nightbird. While the EMGs are gonna need a distortion pedal of some sort, I think the WCRs are gonna work fine through the Ampeg J-12 that's supposed to be at my door Wednesday. Now I just have to figure out what the switch and all those knobs do. Then, learn how to play the thing. Here's a pic with and without it's 'burst F412 sister.

Congratulations :) ! Never played an X170 with a sway bar but I really wore the Bigsby out on my old Gretsch and the whammy bar on my Strat. Seems like every time I struck an ending chord in a verse or played a final note in a line I'd give that bar at least a little light shake or two (a fast or slow vibrato, depending on the song). Your gonna love the X170 8)
