Brand new Starfire I in the house! Not bad out of the box, but there will need to be some adjusting once it settles in. Love the sound(s)!

I have been seriously curious about some of the SF1's since they came out. The single cuts and the double cuts alike. I'm glad you're enjoying it so far!

I got the Sunburst Starfire I with the stop tailpiece. I really enjoy - it in fact due to "circumstances" I've been playing Her for hours & hours.
I was forced to sell my '59 T-100 so I knew what I was looking for and this is perfect for any and all venues because the coil splitting for
once sounds wonderful and not like a POS. I want to get the Double Cut while they're still $499 before they get discovered. The Indonesians
are providing The World with a colossal bang for the buck for years now - their Necks feel like someone from Terada gave them instruction.

FYI, the Guild "Starfire III" case fits the single cutaway Starfire I like a glove. $150.00 may seem like a lot for a case for a $599.00 street price guitar, but I think it's worth it.

Stringing a "Guildby" is a new experience for me. Makes slothead acoustic guitars seem like a piece of cake. But, I now have 10/46 Lights on it. That's the ticket!

When anyone complains to me that a Floyd Rose is hard to string I tell them I'll do theirs for free if they'll string my Bigsby guitars. :)

There are some helpful YouTube videos. Some of the tricks/tips is to bend the ball end of the string ahead of time. Once it’s looped on the peg it’s more likely to stay put and not pop off. Made a world of difference for my Starfire V.

Callaham makes a string through rear lug thing. So instead of attaching to the hooks the string passes through and the ball end secures it. They say they “can’t guarantee” it fits on licensed copies or metric systems. I don’t think anyone here has tried.

The best way to re-string a Bigsby is a Keyser Capo one string at a time securing the loose string at the 12th Fret while winding.
Easy as "Boardin' House Pie" Captain.:):)

Yep. A 1920s Vega tenor tuned for Celtic, like an octave mandolin.
