If it wasn't waiting for the transluscent light blue (who knows if it will ever be put out in that color since Sweetwater uses dark blue) I would jump on a burst.
So I hope you can figure out the tremolo so I can get mine sorted, too, if it doesn't stay in tune. But I think installing strings over the bar at least might help me have not such friction on the saddles.
The other issue is a Les Trem might be better but looks like no stop tail installation bushings used on this Guild model.

The good thing is it stays in tune pretty well right now so that's good. It's just the Bigsby's action is really stiff. I thought about re-stringing over the bar (I did it on my NS Starfire V), but with the S-100 it looks like the break angle will be a bit too shallow.

I would put another nylon washer or two under the front spacers, but leave the back alone.
As it is, the break angle is still too steep. You need to angle the Bigsby up, not just raise it off the body.

The vibrato arm does not have a stop which allows the arm to move 360 degrees. GAD noted this in his Starfire I SC review. It’s weird.
Thanks for the heads up on that. That is odd. I guess there would be a way to remedy that when not needing. On others you can point to the lower bought I believe.

I wish they would offer the standard in a Sunburst option. Never have been a big fan of the cherry color. Black and White or ok.

Why do you like the standard over the deluxe?

I am not a big fan of cherry either but I will say that the color grows on you.

Since they are not so super expensive you could buy a sunburst deluxe, sell the bigsby and buy a tailpiece and convert her.

I think the Sunburst is sold out. I thought the price was very nice as well on those

I don't , its just a color thing. If I could easily remove the arm , then It would be a go. I have never been a tremolo system player.

I'm ready to punce on a blue one if they come out in the lighter shade.

I didn't realise they were exclusive.
For now they are. Who knows, Guild will think they could sell a lot more of them on a larger scale. Then they'd be available everywhere. We'll have to watch and see how quickly the next batch sells out.

I think Guild should bring them out. If life circumstances allowed I'd pounce on one in a moment!

25 pieces sold out in days. I never thought Guilds were so popular. Hopefully that 699 price stays.
