I know there are old Yamaha FG fans here, so here is a fun one. A 1971 Yamaha FG300 that was found in a dumpster. Apparently, someone stripped the pickguard and bridge off of it, stripped the top with chemical stripper and then filled it in with wall spackle…
My friend who I got it from was going to refinish it, and I said I’ll take it as is. It’s all part of its history. It had a vintage FG180 rosewood bridge installed (the original had a brass tune-o-magic styled) and a pickguard installed and here we are:
