well the wait is over. My wife paid the 210.00 left on my layaway at the pawn shop on my 87-88 guild d-50. (for my 50th birthday) when they brought it out of the back I was shocked that the front now had finish crackle on the front. It did not come with a case. I had been worring about the neck because it had nylon strings on it and I couldnt tell if the neck was quite strait. It was very dirty when I got it home, so I cleaned it up and put a new set of 12's on her and the action was nice and low. The neck is strait! It has 12-87 impressed on the back of the head stock, june on the side of the neck block. the binding has come loose on the sides. I have my humidifier going strong right now. It will be easier to humidifie when I get a case. Will post pics as soon as I can find my camera. So all in all 425.00 and a trip to the shop as soon as I get it humidified. oh ya and it sounds great!!!!!

Sounds like another interesting Guild adoption/rescue story, but the price sounds reasonable enough, all things considered. Best of luck in breathing life into what could be a great guitar. Be sure to keep us posted and yes, you know how much we love pics.
