Wouldn't a '94 have original HB-1's, therefore explaining why they sound like those from the 70's?

Fender taking over and Fender building the guitars happened at two different points as I recall.

But yes, SD1s are found on many Westerly Guilds.

Man, that is a sweet guitar! I used to have a DeArmond S-73 that looked similar, though nowhere near as cool as that. Nice!
