Here is a thread with photos I posted right after I bought it back in the Fall. She is as beautiful in person as the pictures represent.

I opened this bad boy as a Christmas gift. I got busy right after Christmas with work travel etc. and I have been spending more time with this blonde beauty in the last couple of weeks.
I am falling more and more in love with it. It is a stellar reminder that Guild does magical things with Maple..
It fingerpicks nicely. It strums heavenly. It is not super loud, but I feel like it hasn't been played all that much.. Not to worry.
My metal Jim Dunlop thumb pick makes this thing sing. F47 is a model I am not too familiar with other than I know there is a hog and a rosewood version that were made throughout its history. The body size is really nice and sits comfortably on my lap. It is super lightweight. It is just a really nice example of a NH, CT build. Tight, clean, and highly functional. I would absolutely recommend this model. If you wanted a jumbo and maybe your frame is not big or you have shoulder issues, this size fits the bill nicely at just below 16" on the lower bout. I am going to record it some in the next couple of days and will share here.

Stunning combo of Adi and Maple. Would this one have an arched back or flat solid maple back? Never mind. I saw the specs. It’s a solid back. Would love to hear this one.

Fantastic looking guitar! I have the rosewood version - I can imagine that has to be a huge sounding loud guitar in maple!

I haven’t seen many of these come up for sale. I don’t know if the numbers were really low or it’s just because they are so nice nobody wants to sell them. The flame maple on the back is simply unbelievable - as good as the best high-end arch backs.

Congratulations! I spent a few weeks looking for one of these a few months ago (before making an alternative purchase). They were definitely hard to find. I really enjoy my F47R; I hope you get equal or greater pleasure from your F47M,

Nor have I HM. I'm sure Hans or Ralf can confirm if the numbers made were low. It could be that maybe this model just wasn't as popular as the standards. Either way, I'm loving this one. My first red / adi spruce top guitar.

Pretty loud, but I feel like it has more to give. I will unleash the beast much like I did with my D-30. Although this one is certainly more responsive than my D-30 was initially. Probably has to do with the fact that the F47 weighs about 1/3 of what my D-30 weighed..

Thanks Plaid! It is a pleasure to pick, strum or finger-pick.
I think you have one of the most practical value-to-dollar driven stables in all of the signatures on this forum.
Every one of those is a solid axe that isn't going to break the bank.

Here is a track where I use a metal dunlop thumb pick, standard dunlop 60mm pick and finger picking.
Forgive that I refer to this model as mahogany in the beginning. It is in fact very maple.
Also, I am simply using an SM58, xlr input irig and my iphone. Nothing fancy.
