Annnnnnnd here she is .
A beautiful sunburst F-40 no no no thatā€™s not right .
Sheā€™s a CV-1 in near mint shape depending how you look at .
the Happy Joy Joy part is no Red sticker yaaaaaaaaay .
She still has the pick guard plastic on her and the truss rod cover is right . Lol
There is indent where something hit it but not deep and no crackin the finish .
Also she has some nice Silking .

Nice! The headstock emblem is wild! First time I've seen that. I like it.
Great guitar! Congrats.

Congrats Ray. Really is a looker.

Was this series not made for an artist? Sone finger style player? Will somebody...

Gorgeous all the way around Ray! Very sexy. The silking is really nice. Love the ā€œGuildā€ on the headstock too. Does this have a 1-3/4 nut?

Nope, just the platform for the new neck joint system. Despite the "trainwreck neck" horror stories, the Contemporarys were a major example of the innovation going on at Tacoma which included the introduction of the dual action truss rod and the single-rod 12 string necks.
And oh yeah, they started using Adi... ;) (but not on those, the CV-1 was the Sitka-topped alternative to Tacoma's F40 Valencia)

Ray my bro so happy for you!
After you get fixed, you can just prop it over your gas tank, no more pesky legs to worry about. :)

Hey Ray!! Congrats on that one. Looks BEAUTIFUL to me. From when I saw it earlier seem like you'll have to adjust the action a bit (I would) but still that saddle is super tall and it's just beautiful.. How does it sound???

Classy woods & appointments, and the thin back bracing is sweet. If it sounds as good as it looks, youā€™ve got a real winner!

I would never associate Cassandra Wilson with an acoustic guitar -- Guild or otherwise. I've never seen her play.

Never heard of her .

Interesting but not surprised. I put the straight edge on her and Iā€™ll be dang sat right on top of the bridge but the action was high as Tom noticed.
I knew from looking at it that if I lowered the action the saddle would end up low , but the straight edge says itā€™s spot on though that was with strings on but still ??????
I changed strings and lowered the action . I just looked at it and put some painters tape on the saddle to show how much Iā€™m taking off it worked good no smudgy pencil lines .
So the action is a lot better but as mentioned the saddle is like 5/32nd above the bridge . She plays great now but Iā€™ll end up doing the neck reset so that makes two the CV-1 and CV-2 . Lol seems red tag or not thereā€™s something amiss in dem dern git tars . šŸ˜šŸ˜‚
