I got this and some cash yesterday in trade for my Gibson Advanced Jumbo. Although I've always loved the sound of a 12 string I wasn't a fan of the string change, keeping in tune, maintenance etc.. But, I just keep on buying/obtaining them so I guess I must like them. This one was built on October 25th, 1992 in the Westerly R.I. facility. If I were to list it on Reverb I might classify it as being in excellent condition. At a minimum, it's VG+.
Nice action with the Low E string height at about 3/32" at the 12th fret and plenty of saddle height to work with. Neck angle is very good. The sustain seems to be just about forever and it has the big, chimey sound we've all come to expect from a Jumbo RW Guild 12er.
I've got two G-312's coming yet this week, a 1974 and a 1978 (I think-I'll need to verify when they get here)
The guy that I got it from (and he got the AJ) was a really superb player and really humble. I don't dislike people really, I just pretty much stay to myself. I must say though, I'm thinking of opening up to more people. I absolutely love listening to a guy or lady who knows what he's doing play an acoustic guitar.
I continue to be surprised by the quality of players here in NE Michigan. I guess I shouldn't be and it's likely like that most everywhere but living here in the middle of nowhere it still surprises me at times.
Here's a few pics.
