I liberated a 1973? Guild D25 BR dreadnought from gc. Electronics were supposed to work but they don't, yet. gc refunded me $129 so, no biggie. The Lawrence pickup has already done it's job. (It saved me $129)
The bridge is shaved to the maximum and the frets are wearing a bit thin. They gave me new bridge pins and sent me on my way. I will probably take it to a pro to give it the old once over but right now, I've got Martin Acoustic's .12 gauge 80/20's on it and, I'm just enjoying strumming this old guitar until the strings go dead.
I will try to post some pics from google. Will see how this goes. I might have to start relying on another method of posting pics since google seems to change things around from time to time?
The Guild is from '73, the red shag carpeting in the basement is from 1972.
The neck looks a little rough in this photo but, it still feels smooth. The backside of neck feels just fine when playing.
Here's some top damage. (Should add to the unique tonal quality of the instrument):drunk:
These pics show up when I hit the Preview Post button. Whether or not you can see them, I don't know...
