I went and checked out the T-100 in Switzerland (that was posted under Online Offerings) and couldn't resist!
I was able to negotiate the price down to closer to 2k, which I'm happy with, considering how rare it is to find something like this around here. The binding is shrinking and separating in several places, but I don't mind much, and apart from that it is all original and very clean.
Pictures don't really capture how the finish glows. It's like this vibrant golden yellow that is really astounding.
I absolutely love the flat neck heel. Are there other archtops that have this?
I may have to shave down the bridge a bit to get the low action I like (or swap for another bridge to keep the original as is). But even as it is now it is still very easy to play. The neck is wonderful.
Looking forward to getting it to my luthier for a setup and putting some thicker flatwounds on it (the roundwound 10s on it now just seem wrong).
