Don't know if I've posted a picture of this one before, but definitely not since I got it back from Tom Jacobs. Neck reset, new saddle and nut, IIRC. Plays and sounds a lot better now.

Yes, unfortunately due to some health issues, I haven't played regularly in years, and now that I can, I need to rebuild my calluses and LH strength, but this (and my Orpheums) sure give me impetus!
Quite a few of us were seriously worried about you there for a while. It was such a relief to see you back and posting and playing!!! (y)

Really pretty sunburst on that one! Glad to see it's restored and better than ever.

Beauty! What kind of pickup do you have - is it a dual source mag/mic?

It's a Seymour Duncan Mag Mic.
Ah hah! I have one in a box that I want to try on something. They are supposedly really nice for quiet (mic) and noisy (mag) venues or anything in between (blended). How do you like it?

What a beauty you have there!

That's the Guild burst that I've drooled over for more than forty years! Back around 1979 (perhaps 1980), I ordered a new sunburst F-40. My handy-dandy Guild catalog showed the guitar with, essentially, your sunburst. But when it arrived, the top was mostly black, with a fairly small dark brown area below the soundhole, and that was it! I was so darn disappointed, my jaw must have dropped down to my knees. To make matters worse, the neck profile wasn't anything like the three Guilds I'd already owned.

Never have ordered another guitar sight unseen - Lesson learned!

It's only been in for a year or so, and haven't had a chance to use it except at low volume at home. Seems to be one of the better soundhole pickups.
