Hi all. I've been enjoying the forum for a while. Thank you GAD. Photos of my two Guilds are attached. They are a 1957 X-175 and an early 2000s X-500. They are quite different, but both are a joy to play. I've swapped out the bridges on both guitars since the photos were taken. I would love to add a Guild hollow body with DeArmonds to the group at some point.

Welcome! That's a super pair of jazz boxes. No doubt you will find several like-minded players here to compare notes.

Welcome, and that '57 is in great shape! Is the finish original?

Great to have a new member show up with old Guilds to look at....
Stick around and keep'em coming!

Your '57 X-175 has what I consider Guild's most beautiful sunburst.
I've taken notice of this period when X-175's (and probably some others I'm sure) had single volume and tone controls.
I once had a '58 like that.

Thanks for the views!

Thank you for the warm welcome. I bought the X-175 from a private seller about two and a half years ago. Here is a link to an older listing for the guitar: https://www.archtop.com/ac_57x175.html.

The finish is original and gorgeous. The guitar has some small issues with binding and the first fret inlay. There is unfortunately a little damage to the top from the bridge posts. The frets are original and in great shape.
