Greetings,
I've been lurking for a while and finally think that I have something worth sharing.
I drove the bike down to Pittsburgh (I live in Mississauga, ON Canada) on Monday to ride through the Alleghenies, visit a freind and get some new tires. I've been wanting to add some Maple to the collection and thought I'd call the guy who posted an add on Craigslist in mid June about his DCE-3. Sure enough he still had it. I went deep in the depths of Pittsburgh to see it and as expected, it was love at first sight (the guitar of course). Now I have a problem; my friend that I was to visit is not answering his phones and I'm on a Motorcycle. The solution - BUNGEE!
I strapped her down and drove back up through those alleghenies to a Holiday Inn at Amhurst NY. After shining her up a little (those nice white fluffy towels work wonders) and loading her up with a new set of JPs, I was ready to rock and roll; too bad they put me next to a nice old couple. Not wanting to keep them up all night, I bellied up to the attached restaurant / bar and convinced them that all that was missing was a good old pickin and a grinnin Canadian singer songwriter sitting right there in that corner. They took me up on my offer and I got to enjoy it for an hour and a half (too bad the bar had to close). We made it home safe and sound today, fortunately no rain.
Moral of the story: Never give up searching and always carry some BUNGEE!
Bobby.
