I just wanted to share something I noticed with the fit of my Starfire cases. I dropped a pick into my Starifre IV case the other day, after I had set the guitar down into it. It dropped into the gap around the neck/body joint. I figured I would be able to reach down with my fingers and grab it real quick, to my surprise it had slid down behind the guitar. While rooting around for it, with the guitar still fully resting in the case, I noticed there is no contact between the back of the guitar body and the case at all, except for the very bottom by the strap pin. I checked my SFVI and it also, rests on the the bottom edge of the body and the neck, while in the case.

I'm new to semi-hollow electric guitars, I don't know how prevalent neck angle/reset issues are. Just to be safe, I added some support under the body with some folded up t-shirts. I had to do the same for a LP special I put in a LP case b/c I couldn't find a case that was actually made for that body, it came new with a gig bag. I didn't think to check the case fit on these Starfires, since they were made for the guitar. But, I suspect they are probably all like this.

Absolutely, Default. Maybe it matters in the long run, maybe not....really? Very nice cases.... It surprised me. The old folded t-shirt trick is easy enough, better safe than sorry

Any time the guitar is only supported at two points is a concern when shipping and not having a proprietary case that fits your proprietary guitar *perfectly* is just junior varsity.
