Since I like to modify guitars these models have a price point for having fun with the model. I would like a P90 version and am thinking a set of Z90 pups from my parts drawer replacing the HB might be a good fit!

In the sales email from Guild in this morning's email showing the ten colors offered on the new S-100, I like the sunburst the best. Quite striking on that guitar.

I think the limited edition S-100 Deluxe from 2 years ago was a more interesting guitar (at least to me) compared to this new "Deluxe" model. It has an ebony fingerboard, bound headstock, HB-1 pickups, Guildsby and push-pull pots for coil splitting. I'm glad I still have mine. They didn't make many of them.

Yes...that sunburst model was killer! I suspect one of these days I'll install a phase switch on the deep blue one I picked up. This is a great model and although I forget the cost know it was very reasonable.

Having a drawer of spare parts modifications to low cost models is fun to do especially when it differs from available product configurations.

That Polar Blue steel color or Phantom Green colored ones could be good platforms for mods!

Hello!
The new Polaras have come to France. The sunburst "deluxe" looks ok IMO . Slanted bridge,NO tremolo-bar-doodad, fine by me.
What was wrong with HB-1s?
String-thru Polaras : no way!.

Yeah, they lost me with the hotter pickups. Underwound PAF types (HB-1s) are better for me.
I wonder if they’re chasing the Soundgarden fans not thinking through what pickups Kim Thayil used, which would be funny given the hand-wound pickups in his US made signature model.
