My apologies in advance for not introducing myself earlier. It took longer to gather the photo's than it should have.
I am long time Guild owner with the preference handed down from my Father. He scraped, saved, and bartered for the Martin D28 that all of the local musicians insisted he needed. One day he came home with a beautiful Guild F50 (154381) and a story of how he was shocked that he ended up with cash as part of the D28 trade. This was in the late 1970's and the Guild F50 was the one acoustic he refused to sell. When he passed, I inherited the F50.
Growing up, my dream guitar was always the Guild F50R. I tried to buy one in the late 80's but ended up with a new D60. Shortly after the D60 purchase, a co-worker asked if I wanted his GF-50 and here we are. I have sister 1988 sunburst RW guitars and an heirloom F50 Maple. All are great guitars that will remain in the family.
Thanks to LTG, I now have an irrational attraction to the DV-52 as well as the F50R.
