Hello Friends. I have been lurking here for a long time and would like to finally make a post - I present my first and only (so far..) Guild purchase, my 1999 DV52.

@hansmoust - I owe you the ink stamped date. Looks like September 24, 1999 to me.

I love reading through the posts on LTG and am excited to become a more active member. Thanks for looking!

Welcome to a great forum! LTG is loaded with folks who have abundance of knowledge about guitars and other musical instruments and accessories. And no forum matches their knowledge of Guild guitars. As a big big bonus, they do not mind sharing that knowledge in a friendly way.

Welcome to LTG! Beautiful guitar! I think the DV-52 is one of Guilds nicest sounding dreadnaughts. Thanks for sharing!

As another happy DV52 owner (a 1970), I share your joy.

I personally believe that DV52's are one of Guild's hidden treasures, and think many folks here agree.

Thanks for the love, everyone. I have only had the DV52 for under a year at this point, and I cherish it.

Like many here I'd imagine, I was able to play a lot more guitar after the onset of the pandemic, and quickly began looking to upgrade my old entry-level Yamaha acoustic. I wanted my first "good guitar." The more digging on the internet you do, the more Guild recommendations you find :cool:. I spent about a year looking at craigslist and such before eventually having the opportunity to purchase this beauty from @wileypickett (hi, Glenn! nice to see you on here). I couldn't be happier playing the DV52 everyday!
