Hey all,

Has anyone heard if Guild is having issues producing new guitars out of their Oxnard facility, or are their USA build numbers just that low?

I am just curious as currently have a Maple 512 on order, and it's been pushed back several times now. First from Feb to March, and now to June, and supposedly, I am the next one in line.

Yes, I guess some of it could be due to supply chain issues and global events, but I was just curious if someone had heard anything.

Edit - updated title to better specify USA made Guilds

The last official explanation I have heard was a combination of supply chains and operating a non-essential factory in times of COVID. So, yes, they are having production issues and those are the reasons.

Some US built models seem to be coming out in greater numbers. I bought a D20 from my local mom/pop store and shortly afterwards they got two more in. They also recently got a D40 Trad which followed me home.

Already built guitars in stores are flying off the shelves, and thus the used market is inflated. Or as we like to say.... a good time to SELL!! LOL!!

I ordered a D55 in January 2021 and received it in February 2022.... so yes, they're building guitars slowly.

I wonder how much is demand. D20 sells for less than half of a D55, with a D50 in between, so it seems to me that there would be more demand for the lower priced models as well as quicker turnaround for the retailer.

Boy, we really need an LMG with Cordoba folks... So many (good) questions; so few actual answers.
