Hi all! I'm back again. Just snagged an F212XL for 399 bucks. It needs lots of TLC but plays great as is. The serial number is 127XXX. It has a repaired headstock crack but the guitar is tuned to concert pitch and has been that way. The action is good and has some saddle height. It has a hole in the lower side where a pickup jack was installed. Some back cracks but none bad. The top no cracks and the neck joint is in excellent condition. It also has an ebony fingerboard and bridge which is nice. It sounds fantastic as expected. I have a little trouble in playing a jumbo body guitar but for the price I bit. Since this is definitely a fixer-upper I plan on doing a tobacco sunburst finish cause the existing finish is trashed. It's good to be back

Mario, I was scoping that one out also, but decided to go with the F-512 instead. Good luck with the repairs. I betcha it turns out super.

Good Going Mario...That model is wonderful! I am happy to hear that there is some saddle height on it...that's a major plus!
Enjoy and lets have some pictures

Thanks Chaz. I am glad the G312 is in good hands as I expected. (Can't go wrong with LTG'ers!)

This ought to be a fun project. I had recently sold some band gear and had some left over money it was enough to get something inexpensive. I had been missing the 12 string when the 212 showed up for sale. I have never had a mahogany 12 string so this is a new experience. The owner sent a small sound clip and it sounded nice. Being a Guild it will sound as expected. I have done some minor repair work before so the cracks and holes can be done in house. Plans are to strip the old finish off, but will have the refinish done by someone else. I have had a quote for 300 bucks so if everything goes well I can have a great Guild for around 700 total investment that's not too bad. Will get some pics going when the guitar arrives sometime hopefully next week or so.
