I've been gushing over my D15 recently acquired. Great guitar and it's really inspired me in my playing.
When I saw the ad on Reverb I noticed there seemed to be a lot of extra space in the case.
I thought of my D2612CE I got a while back from Sweetwater. It had some deep scratches on the back and Sweetwater sent me a Deluxe Guild Dreadnought case with built in humidifier. When the case arrived the guitar fit VERY tightly. So tight that I had to pull it out by the body, because the headstock would catch on the seam. I kept it and thought "well, it's stable", but after a few gigs I worried about it and found a large gig bag I could use.
When my D15 arrived I tried it in the deluxe case and it fits perfectly, much better than the original case.
Last night I took the D15's case to practice and put the D2612CE in it and it fit with room to spare.
So I get a new guitar, solve a minor problem and have my 12 protected from the rigors of gigging. My D2612 isn't here but I can show you the case, the D15 in it and how much room the D15 had to spare before.
