Got this delivered today. The seller had it on Reverb, but also on local FB Marketplace and Craigslist and he knocked $100 off for cash.

Plan to spend time tomorrow playing my 67 Starfire XII through it. Of course didn't need it, but having five 60s Guild electrics and no Guild amp
I convinced myself that I of course did! All caps replaced, as was the 12 inch speaker and output transformer. I think this should work quite well for my lap steels too.

Congrats! Looks to be in wonderful condition.
Prediction:
You're going to go berserk over the reverb.

Mine is serial 4729

That's the reason I was holding out for this model!

Playing around with my M 65 for just a bit and it never sounded better. Tomorrow I'm going to try my late 30s Rickenbacher
Bakelite steel and my Supro Martinique and of course the SF XII. Question for Hans: when would this particular amplifier have been
made?

That's one of the early ones. Check the speaker codes, and that will be the earliest it could have been built.

If memory serves Hans doesn’t follow amps like he does guitars. Default’s your guy here and I concur: look up the speaker codes or even the pots if you have it open.

Ah...the 12" speaker had been replaced, but the 8" CTS has the code 137450. So, the 50th week of 1964?

So this officially has become my 2nd. favorite amp (my 1933 Dobro amplifier shall always be my fave rave). Playing my 67 Starfire XII
through this slightly pushed my Sho-Bud Xmas Tree amp to third. Even though the Sho-Bud is solid state, I loved the sound of the Starfire
through it more than any other amp. The Guild is slightly warmer without sacrificing the clarity. The Guild reverb reminds me a little of my 61
Maestro amp that I got back in 65 along with my 63 Polara. I have a Dobro amp for my electric Dobros, a National for my National, Supro for my Supro,
and an Electar amp that was supposedly sold originally with my Epiphone lap steel in 1939. I had to get a 60s Guild amplifier, right?

They are fun amps for sure. The Maverick is even more fun, IMHO.
