My S-90 in the new Guitar Hero? How about Lollapalooza?

I guess no one really noticed the S-90 disappeared from my signature awhile back. So many Guilds around here!

Anyway, I wasn't playing it much so I sort of half-heartedly decided to sell it. Wasn't too serious about it at the moment so I didn't post it here, but all of a sudden I had a local buyer who jumped at it.

Long story short - if you see Band of Horses play you might catch a glimpse of my old '72 S-90.


(And yes, they will be featured in the next Guitar Hero game)

Actually there's not much of a story really. Tyler came over to check it out and dug it immediately. The funny thing is he told me the name of his band and it didn't click right away. It wasn't until after he left that I remembered I had heard of them. They were slated for Lollapalooza and Bonaroo this year, and now they'll be in Guitar Hero. Crazy. Oh, he kept asking about the year so to put his mind at ease I showed him a list of the serial numbers. He mentioned a Guild he has from the '50's with the G*bson-shaped headstock so I showed him Hans' book. He seemed to dig all that.

I was keeping an eye out for a live shot of the guitar but it took awhile because he was having it set up at the same shop/luthier I take my guitars to. I can tell you it now has .12's on it and it's tuned to a weird C-sharp tuning. John (the luthier) said he had to do quite a bit of tweaking to get it set up right. Had to change the springs on the bridge to get the rollers to move more.

I can say it's leading a much more interesting life than it would have in Fargo. :wink: Glad you were finally able to spot it out and about.

Got a pic from my friend in Nebraska. Looks like my old '72 S-90 is still rockin' in the hands of Tyler Ramsey. Pretty cool.
