Holy cow Gandhi! I just replaced the strings on my guitar and WOW, what a difference! Before the new strings I actually thought there was something seriously wrong with my guitar. It sounded like it had nylon strings instead of bronze ones. It's amazing how BAD 25-year-old strings will make a guitar sound.
I knew the old strings would sound bad but I had no idea they would be "that" bad.

Now my guitar sounds nice and loud and has excellent sustain.......again. I think I'll change out this set of strings before they're 25 years old.
(I used Ernie Ball Phospher-Bronze, 0.011")

I'm changing mine monthly now. It's amazing just what a fresh set will do.

With 80/20s I'll change 'em every two weeks. But I'll easily put in 30-40 hours of playing during a single week.

I'm not sure how often I'll be changing the phosphor bronze strings when my GAD 40C gets here.

I just put on a set of the JP PB 650 Bluegrass strings on the JF-30, now this thing is too loud for the house.

Not sure that I like 'em that loud. I had on the 80/20 250s and I liked them very much. :?

I must have come in late. This is an inside joke, right? 25-year-old strings?
Nope. I hung up my guitars for 25 years. just picked them up again within the past month or so.
Unfortunately it also sounds like I haven't played for 25 years. I know, practice practice practice. 8)

When you play like I do, if you can be heard, you're too loud. :D

My first guitar teacher said, "If you can't be good at least be loud."

Volt, glad to see you back in the saddle.

Like we say in our church band: "If you make a mistake. make it loud, and act like it was supposed to be there."

Sounds like something said with a Texan accent and with blue drapes in the background. No, seriously, a good approach towards making misstakes is just not to make misstakes about them - we all make them and there's a certain charm about them, isn't there - well as long as they don't directly affect our neighbour, in the christian sense 8) .

I didn't hear a single mistake in Texas. Just different interpretations of a song.

Apparently it depends on whether it's a 15-yard (mortal) or 5-yard (venial) problem (Pre-Reformation Rules; through the 16th century). Also depends on whether you need a Band of Angels or a Sunday Praise Band. Bands of Angels are a lot harder to book in advance.

Jeez, even sinning isn't easy anymore.
Well, these are the days of contracting out so maybe you can get someone else to do your sinning and, I might add, take the weight.

"We Sin For You"
"Will Sin For Food"
"Need To Sin? Call Us"

Excellent ideas! :D

I would like to retain the option of reviewing and having right of first refusal on all sins though. Might have to start with a web page......
