Congrats Doc! That a nice collection of Contemporary Series. I love my CO-1 cedar top. If you find one give it a try. Responsive, warm and beautiful to look at.

This CO-2 Orchestra Contemporary Series was my first Guild purchase. A red spruce top (w/ scalloped red spruce bracing) over mahogany with an ebony fretboard and bridge.



I paid $700 for it in 2020, and I just love the way this guitar sounds.

Doc, I love the Contemporary Series too.

What a killer combination of woods! I love the sound of my F30ce Std but would like to have a nice ebony board on it.

I love my F-30CE STD too. But the CO-2 has a better sound. There was a lot of detail put into the Contemporary Series.

ReevesRd - Both of those have been up there for a long time. I really like the maple on the CD-2 but it's more than I'm willing to pay. Glad to see all of the comments from other Contemporary Series owners.

Congrats on a super cool Guild!! While the Contemporary Series may have had some issues, not all of them did. And some were repairable. If it has no issues with the neck, or they've been properly repaired these guitars are super nice and sound amazing!! Thanks for sharing your NGD!!
