I bought her in 1984 (my teacher was a Guild Dealer). She originally came in with a broken tip on the headstock. They repaired it with epoxy and used tough up paint on the tip.

I let her go at a pawn shop in 1999, I was married, had bills and stopped playing.
Started playing again in 2003, and around 2011…was hankering for another X80. Went looking on eBay and like magic, my old guitar was for sale. I recognized the serial # and the chipped and visible epoxy tip. She came home after a 12 year trip to at least two other owners…she went from Florida (where I sold her) to Indiana and now back to me in TN.

She is still the best playing guitar I have ever owned.
