Hey all, I've been reading through some old topics on here the last couple of days, and finally registered and got approved. My prize possession is my Guild D55, which actually, right now, is my primary source of income. :? Enough talk, time for pics:

I suck at playing guitar, singing and songwriting; that's why I play such a sweet looking guitar! Gotta distract 'em - like lines in the suit.

Thanks, everyone! I'll definitely satiate my GAS as finances allow over the next few years... gotta get a couple more dreads first - probably a D25, another D55 and, if I ever come across one for sale that I have cash for - anything higher than a D55. I also need to get myself one of those giant gee-tars, and I'd really love one (for the stage) with D55-type binding/details, because they really look great under lights.

And then, if I ever accomplish all of that, I need to duplicate the whole set, with the second set being reference models with no saddle pickup, and that don't get beat up on the road.

I'm going to have to get a job... :(

Had to take my baby into the shop yesterday. :(

I was playing it the other day, and it was rattling internally. When I pushed on the back it squeaked, so I knew I had a brace loose. Took it in, and it turns out, all four braces are loose on the bass side. So I have to live without it for a few days, and use my green Ovation for shows.

I'd never played the Ov very much, as it's my backup, but after my first show with it, I decided that I was foolish for owning it. The neck is way too thin for my giant paws, and, despite the better-than-average Ovation electronics, it still doesn't sound as good as my D55, even plugged in. With that little neck, I'll develop carpal tunnel by the time I'm 30! (probably compounded by the fact that I hold the guitar at waist level)

Just needed to vent a little.
