Sounds silly, but I just LOVE that sunburst and shape of the cutaway. :)
Plus, I have a review of a X 150 and De Armond X 155 in an old Guitar Player Magazine, and in it, both won the guitar player's pick award. They did flips over both. So I decided to hop onto the trampoline myself. Now I'am doin' summersalts as well (groan  )

Well, that sounds a bit shallow. :?
Ya know Graham, except for the Ibanez, all of my guitars are based on Gibson designs, or ARE Gibson (L4 CES). :) I wanted to try something completely different. I bought Han's book and did my homework. My local, Legato Guitars, jus happenned to have a Savoy. This Guild had a different look, feel and sound than I was used to.
I was in love. Someone from a different Forum listed THIS forum and I am GLADLY here. That's the short-long of it. 8) How did YOU happen to stumble here?

Long story, but not that old of one Steve. I started here just looking for info on a GAD-50 that I had seen. That was in October of last year.
Now, thanks in large part to the enablers here I have 3 Guild Dreads, the DeArmond and the Durango is new that Don sells.
I have other guitars in my sites, but I have to get my son into University and out of the house this fall.

I found, for me, that this site is unlike many of the others. There is seldom, if ever any flame threads, the folks here are just good people that want to talk mostly about their guitars. Nobody seems to take themselves too seriously, except Mikeoso who posted this rather intimidating picture....
