Nice, well I suspected that dealers will blow out the remaining GAD inventory once Westerly Series hit the stores. Will have to think about it.

Reading the reviews on Musician's Friend, sounds like these tend to need a little work out of the box.

What is the difference between this model and the Westerly Series?

Somebody got a deal.

Brand new, all solid mahogany, short scale, concert sized. With warranty. And a really nice case. For under $400???

China, Schmina. That is a lot of guitar for the money

I think merlin is correct. On eBay, both Musicstorelive and Sam Ash have "Make Offer" options on their GAD's. Just two examples below:

Musicstorelive will make deals but it's best to contact them directly. Bypassing ebay and PayPal fees helps get the lowest price. They gave me an unbelievable deal on one of their last NH F-512's.

+1 to Musicstorelive! They are awesome to work with directly. They gave me phenomenal deals on my F50R and my F512 new with warranties. Also bought a new Fender silver face 68 custom deluxe reverb reissue through them for $300 cheaper than anyone's sale price. When it showed it had a tube that was going microphonic. Called them up and they shipped me a set of Brand new JJ tubes for it for free to make it right. Can't beat that deal!:encouragement:

Hi, first post here.

I jumped on the SDOTD about 9am Wednesday. I've never had a Guild before, but I've played them and liked them. So I saw this deal and jumped on it.

I'm glad to hear it comes with a case. It said nothing about that on the site, and ibeleive that a guitar should be in my arms or its case.

I'll let you know what I think of it when it gets here!

The 1512 will do everything for you that an F512 will, for much less money. I played one shortly after I bought my F512, and while no buyer's remorse, it was very clear it would have been a very good buy....but had I gotten the 1512 first, I never would have believed it, and always though in my mind that somehow the F512 would have sounded and played better...same neck profile, same string spacing, and a twelve-string sound that will whip any Taylor!

Are you sure Bill? I've played both, and didn't think the F1512 was anywhere near the same league as my F512, or Chazmo's either. I think Evenkeel would back me up on this one too. IIRC, J won one, and ended up selling it.

Well, we cannot count Chaz's as that is another different animal, LOL

Would have been better than a year ago, but the one I tried was in Maple Leaf Music, in VT. Less expensive hardware obviously, but just like my 512...

Now, being GAD I suppose there could be inconsistant manufacture...

Chaz's 512 is just from another planet...no, sorry...Tacoma!
