I have Guitar Pro for notation and tabs, but sometimes I just want to make some charts. Like this:

What would be even better is if you could have the chord diagrams at the top when they are not your basic Mel Bay chords. Like these:

Ab6/9 | Bbm6 | Ebm9/Bb | Am6 | Ab6/9 | A6/9

( Bonus points for figuring out what song I'm learning from the above )

Has anyone run into something that allows you to create charts?

Good question. And rather than starting a new thread I will add a related one. When I have pdf with a standard score for a tune, is there an app that can read that a translate into a suggested tab for guitar and other instruments. I have guitar pro but haven't figured out if this can be done with it.

I still like to write out my charts by hand, the old fashion way. This also helps me to learn and memorize what I'm working on. Following.

Musescore can do this

I suspect you could use one staff and use quarter note rests instead of notes and get closer to what you want.

It is free. Mrs. Fro. has used it to arrange music for handbells and a couple of choirs. I figured it out quickly enough to transcribe a couple of melodies into bass clef.
