Sitting in N Ft Meyers Fla. Have my boss' vacation home which took in 1 1/2 ft of water during Ian. It's a wreck. I'll be here for maybe 2-3 weeks laying 1300 sq ft of floor tile. (Glued down wood floors have already been torn out. Thankfully there's the original Terrazzo floor underneath to make a good level surface for laying tile. I'm doing the 4 ftx8" tile that looks like weathered wood planks. Pretty impressive looking, I must say. Got here just last night. Did my whole layout today (which was a pain, because there will be no thresholds and run seamlessly from the living room, down a hallway and into 3 bedrooms, and you don't want to wind up w/ a 4ft piece 1" wide anywhere, so there was a lot of measuring and headscratching going on.) I will start setting in the morning. All my main guidelines are marked.

Also, had a GREAT time seeing my old best friend in Jacksonville/Atlantic Beach. It was like not a day had gone by. (Shared history from 3rd grade till college will do that! Not to mention about 20 Dead shows together!!)

This was us in 87 when we lived at the beach in Ocean City Md. (my high school sweetie on my left (still talk to her regularly. My first true love. She lives in France.)

And 2 days ago...



And judging from the 2 pics 36 years apart....my Zep love still remains the same.
