I only wear white socks all the same. This way I never have to worry about pairing them and when one is lost you just wait until another is lost and you're even again!

I only wear BLACK socks all the same. This way I never have to worry about pairing them and when one is lost you just wait until another is lost and you're even again! However, here in Florida I only wear socks to funerals.

I too have mostly pairs of black socks. At some point in my life, high school, perhaps, people "like me" didn't wear white socks. I have no recollection, however whether "not like me" was a education, class or economic distinction or merely a clique I was not part of.

White socks are my favorite. But for work here in Vegas for years I had to wear black socks. So since I buy in bulk, all my socks were the same. Now that I'm retired and my last bulk purchase is starting to dwindle (no mismatched socks ever or stray ones) I think I'll replace with white again. Socks go in the washer/dryer and thrown in a drawer. You pull out two when you need them. There's no such thing as "pairs".

Yes. Though there are some folks who all but do DNA testing to make sure it's a valid match. (Can't believe we are talking about socks).

I wear white socks around the house, with sneakers, with shorts, etc. But if I'm dressed up at all, I have a bunch of socks of different colors and designs to spruce things up a bit...
